GENERAL FEATURES:

The C.Q.S. slow-setting concrete compound is used to waterproof any structure which is used for water CONTAINMENT.
It adheres perfectly onto concrete surfaces, new humid or dampened sand and concrete plaster.
It is a powder and it must be simply mixed with water.
It is not suitable for elastic structures.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Waterproofing in the building sector: swimming pools, tanks, basins of any type, channels, dams, barriers, purification plants, sewage, water scooping machines, water systems, walls against the ground, etc. It is not recommended for balconies, elastic structures, walls facing north.

PREPARATION AND LAYING:

- accurately clean the surfaces to be treated;
- seal the cracks and porous areas with mixed C.P.S.;
- accurately dampen the walls;
- mix 3 parts of C.Q.S. powder with 1 part of clean water;
- this mix can be manipulated for approx. 3-4 hours;
- apply the first coat using a float or a brush;
- after approx. 20-30 minutes, apply the same mix with a brush, after rendering it more liquid;
- after approx. 36-48 hours, when it is dry, the basin can be filled with water.

CONTAINMENT OF PURIFIED WATER:

Thanks to its physical features, this material can be used to waterproof purified water containers: sewage, cesspools, treatment plants of any type with a low acid or basic concentration, i.e. pH from approx. 5.5 to 8.5. A higher concentration may cause fast corrosion of the waterproof layer. The C.Q.S. is not recommended to contain wine and food products.

CONTAINMENT OF DRINKING WATER

The C.Q.S is Hygiene-certified and is perfectly suitable to contain DRINKING WATER. The finishing treatment applied on the C.Q.S. waterproof layer must contain an adhesive additive which guarantees perfect adhesion.

CONSUMPTION:

Depending on the type of surface:
1.5 kg/ sq. m., two coats (thickness: 2 mm)
2 kg/ sq. m., three coats (thickness: __mm)
It is useless and expensive if the total thickness exceeds 3 mm, since a few millimetre-coating is enough to obtain the waterproofing effect.
